Lansing man was driver killed in crash with truck hauling logs on K-7

The man killed when he rear-ended a truck hauling logs on Kansas 7 Monday morning was identified as Dennis W. Wagner, 54, of Lansing. Wagner was killed in a crash that occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. along southbound K-7 at Marxen Road, which just south of the Wyandotte and Leavenworth County line in Kansas City, Kan., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The truck, a 2013 Freightliner dump truck, was headed south on K-7 and was in the turn lane to go left on Marxen Road. Wagner was driving a 2006 Chevrolet passenger car south on K-7 and struck the truck in the rear.
