Water main break likely the cause of garbage truck getting stuck in asphalt

A garbage truck driver found his vehicle stuck in asphalt Monday morning in the village of Bellevue. The accident occurred at the end of a cul de sac on Van Rite Court. Public Works officials say they believe it happened due to a water main break underground. The water softened the asphalt, and when the driver was on his morning route, the left front tire broke right through it. Once the vehicle was pulled out, officials began repairing the damage.
