A crash that caused some major backups on I-75 on Monday afternoon caused only minor injuries, according to the Michigan State Police. The crash involved a semi-truck that went off the left side of the highway around 2 p.m. near the Southfield Road exit. While the crash looked like it could have caused severe injuries, state police Lt. Michael Shaw said the driver escaped with “very minor” wounds. The accident caused backups for several hours. Another crash not far from that area again blocked the roadway around rush hour. All lanes were open by 6 p.m.
