15-year-old passenger killed in crash involving semi-truck

The Georgia State Patrol has identified a 15-year-old girl who was killed in a crash in Grady County on Sunday night. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash happened around 6 p.m. on State Route 111 near Crump Street. GSP says two people were traveling in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when it crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semi-truck. The passenger in the Jeep, 15-year-old Shelby Lovely, of Whigham, was killed in the collision. The Jeep driver, 17-year-old Brenton Lovely, was injured in the crash. Troopers did not report any serious injuries to the semi-truck driver. The crash remains under investigation. GSP did note that State Route 111 has seen several fatal wrecks in the past.
