Mountain Accident Clean-up

The Inter-Mountain photo Department of Highways employees work at the site of an accident at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning on Allegheny Mountain, where a Hinkle Trucking tractor-trailer heading west on Rt. 33 East overturned at about 11:52 p.m. Monday, police said. The truck was hauling lime and the load shifted, causing the vehicle to overturn in the ditch, and clean-up efforts temporarily closed 33 East, officials said. The driver was transported to Davis Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, the Harman Volunteer Fire Department and Randolph County EMS all responded to the scene, police said. Cpl. B.W. Cogar was the investigating officer.
