Beyel Bros hauling a GE turbine through Vero Beach. The turbine is destined for a new FPL power plant being built in Okeechobee. Watch Video: Trail King Industries Inc. TK800 to move a Superload near West Palm Beach, Florida. The trailer is 214 ft. (65 m) long and expands to a full width of 21 ft. (6.4 m). It weighs 400,000 lbs. (181,437 kg) and was dual-configured for the job to spread the load across two lanes of highway. This project required the trailer to be expanded transversely to 18 ft. (5.5 m). The cargo was lifted from railcars and slid underneath the TK frame, transported to staging area near foundations, trans-loaded to KAMAG 12-line with low-deck, transported and slid to foundation using a 500 ton capacity slide system. The transformer, weighs 401,000 lbs. (181,890 kg) Dimensions: (l,w,h) 23’6”, 12’11”, 17’2” Total Gross: 935,008 lbs. (424,112 kg) Total transport height is 18’6” (5.639 m) Total transport length is 280’ (85 m)
