A food truck was involved in a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon just before 2:40 p.m. on the Exit 22 overpass in Lake George. The driver, Arron Sowle, 36, of Gloversville was traveling northbound when he struck a guiderail resulting in the Antonucci Wholesale Produce truck to overturn onto its side across both lanes. Sowle was transported to Glens Falls Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was ticketed for failing to use a designated lane, according to a news release.

“He’s lucky,” said Lake George Fire Chief Scott Smith. The vehicle experienced significant front end and passenger side damage. The roadway was closed for more than an hour and reopened shortly after 4 p.m. Traffic was diverted to Route 9 while crews worked the scene. Warren County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, Lake George Fire and Lake EMS responded to the scene with KJ Sterns Towing of Saratoga Springs assisting in the removal of the vehicle. The crash was investigated by patrol officer Casey Gordon.
