Man with gun hit by truck in Mt. Holly road rage incident
The Mount Holly Police Department is investigating an apparent road rage incident where a man holding a gun was hit by a dump truck. Channel 9’s Ken Lemon is digging into what happened and will be live with a report at 5 It happened on Hwy 273 around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Witnesses said the driver of an SUV was apparently upset with the dump truck driver behind him. He stopped and got out of his vehicle with a gun in his hand.

The trucker drove forward and hit him. When police arrived, they said the SUV driver was laying in the road with the gun next to him. He was taken to Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte with serious injuries. Police have not named either man and said the case would be referred to the Gaston County District Attorney’s office to determine if any charges will be filed.
