Trucker escapes without injury before train barrels into truck

The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, in Midland, Texas, according to CBS 7. Authorities say that the truck became high-centered at a railroad crossing at Warehouse Road and West Industrial Avenue. A spokesperson for Union Pacific says that the truck driver did the right thing in getting out of the stuck truck and calling 911 immediately. Thyankfully, no injuries were reported.

A man who witnessed the incident explained what he saw: “When traveling, I noticed a semi truck high centered on the tracks. I noticed the driver running down the tracks, flagging the train to stop. I pulled over just in time to see the train make contact with the truck.” He also captured the footage on his cell phone, which has since gone viral on social media. You can see the footage below.
