A motorcycle cop has narrowly escaped death after a semi-trailer veered into oncoming traffic in Queensland.
The officer was travelling southbound on the Bruce Highway, just south of Maryborough, around 2pm on August 24.
Police released footage of the incident, captured on a body camera from the officer on the motorcycle and dashcam vision from a police car following behind the truck.
The footage shows the semi-trailer crossing over double white lines into the path of oncoming traffic.
The officer was forced to swerve into the breakdown lane to avoid a head-on collision with the vehicle, before it corrected back onto the right side of the road.
Terrified drivers were also forced to move out of the way of the truck, which luckily did not cause any damage or accident.
