The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured when the big rig veered off an overpass during evening rush hour Friday in Fort Worth. Police say the tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound on Northeast Loop 820 at about 4:45 p.m. when the driver struck the guardrail, then hit a three-foot cement retaining wall before plunging off the overpass and landing on North Main Street below.

North Main Street and the on-ramp to I-820 were closed while police investigated and crews worked to repair the guardrail. No other information was immediately available.
