Firefighters were on the scene of a semi-truck that caught fire and temporarily shut down an I-75 off-ramp Thursday evening. The Chattanooga Fire Department and Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene on I-75 south near the Apison Pike/Volkswagen Drive Exit. Firefighters were able to control the fire quickly, and no one was injured in the incident.
A semi fire shut down the off-ramp to Interstate 75 South at Exit 9 for about an hour this evening. A fast response from us and @ChattFireDept brought the fire under control quickly. Thankfully, no injuries to report, and all roadways have since reopened. pic.twitter.com/yBG7mM3FZv

The off-ramp was shut down for about an hour while crews worked, and has since reopened.
