Police shot the driver of a stolen AAA flatbed truck during a pursuit Monday, Onondaga County sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Seeber said.
The suspect was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, Seeber said.
His condition was not immediately known.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Monday, police chased the driver of the stolen AAA flatbed truck through Syracuse. During the pursuit, witnesses heard several shots fired.
Six bullet holes appeared to have shattered the AAA flatbed truck’s front windshield.
Other damage and injuries that happened during the pursuit, include:
* Two Syracuse fire trucks, an Onondaga County sheriff’s patrol car, a Syracuse police car and other vehicles were all hit.
* A Syracuse police officer was injured, city police said.
* At least one pedestrian was injured.
* The suspect was shot by police.
The northbound lanes of the West Street arterial, north of Shonnard Street, closed at Gifford Street at 4:20 p.m. “due to police activity” and was expected to remain closed for up to two hours while police investigate.
