A Tampa truck driver was killed in Brevard County after his semitrailer truck, which was hauling hydrogen peroxide, overturned and caught fire in a crash on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.The semitrailer and a Hyundai Santa Fe were heading southbound on Interstate 95, near mile marker 162 at about 3:30 p.m., the FHP said.Then a tire tread separated on the semitrailer, the FHP said, causing the 63-year-old driver to lose control and strike the Santa Fe. Both vehicles careened toward the median and over the central guardrails.The semitrailer caught fire and the driver died from his injuries, the FHP said. The driver has not been publicly identified by troopers.There were two people inside the Santa Fe: driver Robert Racicot, 69, and passenger Celina Ruel, 61, both of Quebec, Canada. The FHP said both were hospitalized with serious injuries.
