State Route 9 near the Sally Buffalo Creek entrance was shut down for almost 3 hours on Friday morning after a tractor trailer overturned.
The truck had been traveling down Route 9 and lost control around a curve and overturned, spilling coal. The driver was unharmed. Cadiz police shut down a section of the road while righting the truck and then eventually towing it.

The wreck has been cleared and the road has been re-opened. “It takes a lot. They have two big, heavy haul wreckers that they had to pull over the truck and the trailer. And then we’ve had our street department out here trying to get the road prepped and ready and cleaned up before we open the road back up,” Cadiz Police Chief Ryan McCann said.
