A North Iredell woman escaped serious injury Tuesday afternoon when an 18-wheeler collided with her car on Tomlin Mill Road. Kathryn Holland, 55, of Olin was heading south on Tomlin Mill when a truck driven by Colby Page, 23, of King pulled into her path after getting off Interstate 77 at Exit 59, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Holland was transported to Iredell Memorial Hospital with a cut to her hand, said Trooper Nick Chapman. Her 2001 Buick was heavily damaged. Page said he didn’t see Holland’s car. He said it was his first crash and told Chapman he no longer wanted to drive a truck.
