The driver of a stolen pickup truck had to be subdued with stun guns Wednesday night so he could be arrested by Monona police. Aundra Keaton, 39, Madison, was taken into custody on tentative charges of auto theft, resisting arrest and retail theft, when he was arrested near Monona Drive at about 6:10 p.m. Police Chief Walter Ostrenga said Keaton is a suspect in other recent crimes in the Madison and Dane County area, so he could face other charges from other law enforcement agencies. Police said the stolen Nissan pickup truck was seen by officers pulling into the Speedway gas station at 5450 Monona Drive. “Officers attempted contact with the occupants, at which time they all fled in multiple directions,” Ostrenga said. Keaton was caught after a short pursuit and taken to the ground, but when he refused to be taken into custody, two Taser deployments were used to subdue him.
