A crash in Amherst County has caused a road to be blocked. Public Safety Coordinator Gary Roakes said the high wind event caused a tractor trailer to completely flip on the Route 29 North bypass about a half mile north of Route 130.

Roakes said there is one minor injury. Winds are still too strong to flip it back over so they’re towing it to the side of the road until winds die down. Virginia 511 said all north lanes are closed and Roakes said they will be closed for several hours.
